Badges for the Jan '12 River of Stones

Fiona writes: Kaspa has excelled again, and hand-drawn this badge to accompany us all in the river this January.

If you start displaying the badge as soon as possible, more people will join us in the river... get yours today... Copy the image above and link to our information page, or use the code below. Help yourself!

*

Here's the code to copy and paste the badge into the html section of your own blog (including a link to our river of stones information page), or just copy and paste the image at the top of the page. Different blog platforms will need you to add your badges in different ways - if you're not sure, look at your blog's help pages.

It's on my blog, already inspiring me to get small-stoning (although that could be avoidance of my novel)

Yay, congrats! Started a blog called "a 'small stone' page". It is blank now but I hope to put stones in it. It has the new badge.

Fiona Robyn said...

Lunar - Mish - welcome to the river!

I have copied and pasted the link for the badge on my blog but it is telling me the url letters are illegal, any suggestions?

Fiona Robyn said...

That's odd, Lana - might be worth trying again, or just copy the picture onto your computer and upload it that way... feel free to email if you get stuck.

Didn't quite make it last January. Will do this time. And I am happy to put a badge on my blog because I think this is a wonderful initiative. Thanks.

Last year doing this turned out so great that I extended my 'NaSmStoMo' to 3 months!

I'm going to go for it. I am seeking ways to be more present AND to get in the habit of writing every day. I think this will help me accomplish both goals! Badge is posted!

I'm going to do it this time! The badge will commit me to it.

Fiona Robyn said...

Both - welcome...

This is lovely. My daughter invited me. Another daughter joined and husband and our third daugher are also going to do this. The badge is now on my blog and my FB page.

Gemma, Granny Kate, welcome!

Added the badge to my site, Fiona. SO excited to use this opportunity to renew my writing life and my appreciation of life. This is just what I need.

Did you have a recommended tag to use so we can identify our posts to others? WordPress used postaday2011 for example to identify daily bloggers.

Maybe something like smallstones2012? Or riverofstones2012?

Fiona Robyn said...

Welcome, welcome! Do feel free to use a tag but we're trying to keep things simple this year - we use #smallstone on Twitter, so maybe smallstone12? Welcome to the river!

I'm dropping stones in the river too. Badge is up. A small journal contains my handwritten stones, and I'm scattering them on my blog, twitter and other online banks where the water slows enough to drop one :)

I love this concept! I'm copying your html for the badge into my blog. Thanks! I'd like to be on your blogroll and I'm posting yours on mine. thepauleyprincipal.blogspot.com
