Good news on my Jewel Quest addiction

I deleted the bloody game from my phone. I feel a great sense of relief and my sore thumb also approves. If only all addictions were that simple, eh?

This is a lovely vid of the author Roger Morris and his puddycat – I haven’t got sound on my computer but I watched it all anyway, what are they saying to each other? He writes excellent books too – I’ve only read A Vengeful Longing so far but the others are on my list.

Another novel on my list is Andrew Sanger’s J-Word - a fellow Snowbooks author – and you can enter a competition to win a free copy here.

What else… If you fancy doing a mini-interview for me, have a look here. And I’m going to be asking for your help soon with my Thaw project, so watch this space!

Enough links already. Happy Thursday.
PS excuse the kitten photo. Sometimes I can’t help myself. Maybe posting kitten photos will replace my Jewel Quest addiction……

Shameful addiction to Jewel Quest

This morning I have cramp in my hand.

I spent far too long last night playing a stupid little game on my mobile phone, which has probably already sucked fifty hours of my life away.

The game involves moving little ‘jewels’ around to make lines of three or more, and when you make a line it disappears. It is INTENSELY addictive. I had similar issues with Tetris when I was doing my A-levels.

When I confessed to my friend, she admitted she shared my addiction. Her drug of choice (mobile phone game) is something to do with a farm. She stayed up til one in the morning playing it last week.

Are there support groups for people like us? And is having cramp in my hand a good enough excuse to get out of my writing for today?

Thanks to Christine for linking to Planting Words today, and to Paula at chicklit for a lovely little review of The Blue Handbag. Have you said hello to me at Facebook yet? Happy Monday x
