Lorrie, who has pea-green eyes and mousey hair, lives in a narrow grey house and works in a call-centre in a grey office building. If you asked her whether she was happy, she wouldn't know how to answer you. Until she is shown something that's right under her nose, and which changes everything...
Lorrie's story is stitched through Fiona's e-book, 'How to Write Your Way Home'. It also contains simple instructions to help you feel more connected to yourself & to the world, information on hunting & polishing small stones, advice on how to build a creative network & more. Kaspa has created a seven-day experience for anyone who wants to have deeper connection with the world. One little step at a time.
"Do you want to notice more? We’ll spend seven days together, writing one small stone each day. Noticing one thing properly and writing it down. Join me and see how beautiful the world can be."
***
We also run a free community for anyone interested in using writing as a way of connecting to the world.
You can join groups sharing their daily small stones or learning about poetic forms, post your own blogs and photos, and get to know your fellow travellers. There's lots to see and do.
Do come and join us - it'd be marvellous to see you there.

"These hands are ninety-three years old. They belong to Charlotte Marie Bradley Miller. She was so frail that her grand-daughter had to carry her onto the set to take this photo. It’s a close-up. Her emaciated arms emerge from the top corners of the photo and the background is black, maybe velvet, as if we’re being protected from seeing the strings. One wrist rests on the other, and her fingers hang loose, close together, a pair of folded wings. And you can see her insides."
So begins the diary of Ruth, a 32 year old microbiologist in London who is giving herself three months to decide whether or not to kill herself.
Her diary over those three months is my novel, Thaw. You can read the whole novel for free, with no catches, here.
