Malvern

The Malvern hills are the beautiful real world location of Writing Our Way Home. As well as the online work, there are a couple of things that we facilitate locally:

Malvern Sangha is our Pureland Buddhist group, which meets once a week for services and once a month for Coffee, Cake and Dharma. Find out more at at our website or on our Facebook page.

“The most precious gift we can offer anyone is our attention.” - Thich Nhat Hanh

Listening to the Other is a 10 session course in learning to listen more powerfully and carefully.

Listening - we all do it everyday. It’s one of the most powerful tools for transformation that we have, but how often do we only listen with half our attention?

This is a course for anyone who wants to improve their relationships, professionally or personally.

During the course we’ll look at what conditions are conducive to good listening, and how we can follow and reflect people’s stories. We’ll think about how our stories and our way of seeing the world conditions our being. We’ll explore the power of focusing on significant objects and ideas around grief, loss and addiction.

Based on Listening to the Other by Caroline Brazier, Head of Education at Amida Trust and psychotherapy course leader.

The course consists of ten sessions and will next run on Thursdays from 10.30 am til 12 midday from January 12th until March 22nd 2012.

Each course consists of ten one and a half hour sessions, with a break for half-term. Sessions are £8 each. £20 deposit required. Places are limited.
