Spread something delicious all over the world… (& eat some yourself)

Fiona writes: Something delicious = gazing at the lawn with a glazed look & suddenly noticing thousands of brushstrokes of different lush greens.

Something delicious = noticing the tension under your left shoulder-blade and letting it drip drip drip away.

Something delicious = the dark rich scent of coffee just before an earthy, piping hot sip.

Something delicious = pausing for long enough in you ever-so-busy-day to listen to the blackbird singing. Can you hear it?

Something delicious = paying attention to the world through mindful writing. Not because you’re a writer. Not because you want to get published. But because you want to pay really close attention to at least one thing every day. Because you want to slow down and fall in love with the world.

Will you join us on our first Mindful Writing Day? All you have to do is pay attention to one thing on the 1st of November and write it down – voila, you’ve written a small stone.

Will you help us spread the deliciousness?
We want as many people as possible to get a taste for this easy (well, mostly) & effective mindfulness practice. The easiest way is clicking ‘attend’ on our Facebook invite and then inviting your friends. You could also email them this link, or tweet this: “Slow down and fall in love with the world – write a #smallstone for the first Mindful Writing Day on the 1st of Nov: http://bit.ly/VjzRKe”. Or even better, meet them for coffee and cake in real life and tell them all about it.

‎’I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die Discover that I had not lived.’ ~ Henry David Thoreau

Let’s live deep. Let’s suck at that marrow.

I’ll be joining you on November 1st, even if I’m one of the few people in the Western world -not- on Facebook. 🙂

I am looking forward to this so much that I may not be able to wait until November 1 to start.

VERY pleased you’ll be joining us Dylan, expert as you are! If there’s any way of letting tinywords people know do let me know. Hope you’re well.
